Work Packages

W1 ensures the results and processes of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and with the quality stipulated by the EACEA. It also deals with the project’s ethical requirements, data management, and ensures the overall management of the project, through 6 sub-activities described below. It contributes to the management of all Project Objectives.

Deliverable 1.1. Project and Financial – Management Plan

This deliverable will put together teaching and education materials adhering to EU values to promote diversity, cultural awareness and eliminating gender stereotypes, through means of digital citizenship.

Deliverable 1.2. Risk Management Plan

Risk management will ensure that the risks associated with the project are identified and covered by actions intended to eliminate or reduce them, bringing residual risk down to a level acceptable for the EACEA. The risk register will be initialized by the project manager and the administration manager at the very beginning of the project. An initial list of potential risks has already been drafted.

Deliverable 1.3. Projects reports (Hard copy/Elect)

This deliverable is focused on the provision of timely and reliable reporting on all aspects of the project implementation process, as required by EACEA.

The main objective of this WP is to develop education modules to promote STEM engagement especially for women in Kosovo and Albania. Education modules will be based on activities promoting critical thinking and civic engagement based on common EU values to promote diversity, cultural awareness and eliminating gender stereotypes.

Deliverable 2.1. Education module focusing on digital citizenship

This deliverable will put together teaching and education materials adhering to EU values to promote diversity, cultural awareness and eliminating gender stereotypes, through means of digital citizenship.

Deliverable 2.2. Education module focusing on universal design

Through this deliverable, a set of guidelines and set of activities for cultural awareness and foster gender sensitive education will be developed.

Deliverable 2.3. Education module focuses on norm critical approaches

This task will focus on the inclusion of norm critical approaches to promote cultural awareness. Cultural norms, biases and beliefs have a significant impact on women and their STEM education choices.

This WP will strengthen RIT (AUK), IBC-M, POLIS and UET STEM pedagogical techniques, teaching tools and administrative skills necessary to create inclusive environments for all students and therefore reduce disparities which prevent students’ interest and retention/persistence in STEM. In so doing, the partner institutions in Kosovo and Albania will use the best practices and expertise from LNU and Maynooth University. The training activities will use the Education Module materials developed through the WP 2. This WP will also promote STEM engagement by STEM professionals and explore diverse fields like science and engineering careers. Partners will be engaged according to their expertise and will ultimately be functional to the development of the joint institutional STEM. The focus across all the activities will be on women’s involvement in STEM.

Deliverable 3.1. Advanced training courses report consolidated

Three training sessions will be held for 3 days each: – Training 1: “Inclusive Pedagogy Training for STEM Faculty”, to be held in IBC-M, Kosovo; 16 participants (4 per each institution) – Training 2: “Universal Design Training for STEM Faculty and Administrators”, to be held in POLIS, Albania,; 16 participants (4 per each institution) – Course 3: “STEM and Digital Citizenship” to be held in NUIM Ireland; 12 participants.

Deliverable 3.2. Webinars developed

3 webinars delivered by experts from participating institutions will be held to target the academic staff from STEM programs in HEIs in Kosovo and Albania Webinar 1 – Women in STEM [RIT (AUK)] Webinar 2 – STEM engagement of women through group Activity [UET] Webinar 3 – STEM, gender, and social inclusion- a transformative approach [IBC-M].

Deliverable 3.3. Workshops with Program country institutions for adoption of STEM best practices

The trainings will be conducted by the trained academic and administrative staff, who participated in the ToT advanced courses and will organize the workshops within the set of 3 dimensions: STEM, inclusiveness and diversity  STEM, Digital Skills, and Digital Citizenship STEM engagement and sustainability The workshops will serve as pre-requisite for WP4, namely enhancing network and knowledge sharing

Deliverable 3.4. Institutional Research strategy reports

This WP will enhance the potential of the RIT (AUK), IBC-M, POLIS and UET to be part of new international STEM Career Expert Networks and to increase their impact on the STEM jobs profiles. This will be done by strengthening their international STEM networks; providing technical assistance and expertise to upgrade and synergize their existing STEM education and career motivation capacity; fostering new collaborations through the exchange of staff and demonstration of STEM activities. The development of new network of STEM career experts or counsellors at the pre university education level will help the HEIs from partner countries to increase their understanding of emerging STEM careers in math, physics and Engineering and the skills needed for these careers.

Deliverable 4.1 – Consolidated Report on Staff Exchanges
Deliverable 4.2 – Joint Publication

The work package Quality assurance includes procedures, activities, and events necessary to reach to maintain a high level of quality of the project and its outputs. The package includes drafting and developing of its main reports. Aligned with Report from the ENQA Working Group VIII on quality assurance and e-learning – considerations for Quality Assurance of E-Learning Provision, Section III – Considerations for Higher Education Institutions.

Deliverable 5.1. Quality Monitoring Plan

The Quality Monitor (QM) plan will be created to monitor the implementation of the project by two HEI – IBC-M from, Kosovo and LNU from Sweden. The Quality Monitoring plan will be discussed and agreed at the initial kick-off meeting.

Deliverable 5.2. External Evaluation Report

To verify proper implementation of the project, spending of the budget funds and achieving the high-quality results, the external audit and evaluation will be performed.

Deliverable 5.3. External Review Report of Training and Teaching Module Materials

After the development/production of STEM Training and course materials, external reviewers will evaluate its quality (‘Course teaching material’ and ‘Guidelines and Methodology’). Reviewed and if necessary, corrected material, will be, from one side, partly placed into the open resource base intended for teachers and students of STEM field identified by the project.

Deliverable 5.4. Final quality report

The tasks include the development of the final report of the quality of the project.

The wide objective of this package is to ensure continuous dissemination activities such as communication via a website, social media presence, newsletters, workshops, conference etc. which will raise awareness, aiming to maintain the interest in the project, as well to develop interaction between the project, relevant stakeholders (including European, National and local authorities) and the public. Dissemination plan extend beyond project life; long lasting use of project results is secured by careful planning of methods and means which will be used for dissemination.
