Project Members Dr. Linda Ziberi and Dr. Venera Demukaj Present at Two International Conferences focusing on STEM Education and Research

We are excited to announce that members of our project team recently presented data and proceedings from our project activities at two international conferences.

On June 26, 2024, Dr. Linda Ziberi presented at the Horizons in STEM Education 2024 conference organized by the University of Bristol, in the United Kingdom. The topic of her presentation was Gender Inclusive STEM Education: Developing an Inclusive Pedagogy Module for STEM Faculty in Kosovo and Albania. In her presentation, Dr. Ziberi talked about developing an inclusive pedagogy module for STEM faculty, as part of the Stefora Project, applied by four higher education institutions in Kosovo and Albania. The presentation focused on the methodology and feedback received by faculty who have attended professional development sessions as part of this module. The conference gathered educators from all across the UK to discuss skills development, digital resources, and pedagogy, with the aim of improving higher education in STEM.

On June 28, 2024, Dr Venera Demukaj presented at the Kosovo International Conference for Educational Research (KICER) organized by the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Education. The topic of her presentation was: Advancing inclusivity and diversity in STEM education: Insights from workshops with faculty and administrators from Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Kosova. In her presentation, Dr Demukaj shared findings from the “Workshops for Adoption of STEM Best Practices” as part of the STEFORA project, which were held with instructors and administrators, aimed at enhancing inclusivity and diversity in STEM teaching practices in HEIs. The conference gathered local and international academics, practitioners, and educational experts.

The presentations provided an excellent platform to showcase our project’s progress, methodologies, and outcomes, fostering meaningful discussions and collaborations with academics and experts in the field of education. This dissemination effort highlights the importance of sharing our findings to advance knowledge and promote best practices within our field.
